MY FIRST PAN PIZZA

So finally I cooked something! Yes it was my first pizza. My first attempt and that too a successful one. I was excited! I couldn't believe that I can cook too. Well not every boy under the sun can cook well, ain't it? I know... I know! LOL! Click on the post to enlarge it.

Strained maida in a utensil; added dry instant yeast, olive oil, salt and sugar. Mixed all ingredients well with help of lukewarm water kneaded the flour. Kneaded the dough for 5-7 minutes until it became soft. Greased a bowl and placed dough in it for 2 hours so that it gets fermented well.

Ingredients for my Pizza Recipe I took :   For making the dough :
Maida (all purpose flour) - 2 cup , Olive oil - 2 tbsp   ,Salt - ½ tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp , Instant yeast - 1 tsp
Prepared topping for the pizza: Cut capsicum, removed all its seeds and sliced it thinly. Cut baby corn in small round pieces. Cooked vegetables for 2 minutes.
For making pizza topping I took :
Capsicum - 1, Baby corn - 3, Pizza sauce - ½ cup, Mozzarella cheese - ½ cup, onions - ½ tsp
Took half amount of pizza and make a round ball. With help of dry maida made a ½ cm thick chapatti with a diameter of 10-12 inch.

Preheated the pan. Though I was using non stick pan but still I greased it with little oil and placed pizza inside it. Covered it and cooked for 2 minutes or until the lower side got little brown.
Flipped it up side down and reduced the flame to minimum. Garnished the pizza with topping. Firstly layered pizza sauce and then placed capsicum and baby corn on the pizza. After that placed chopped fried onions on it. Sprinkled mozzarella cheese as well.

Covered pizza and cooked for 5-6 minutes on medium flame until the cheese got melted and the lower side gets little brown.  Kept checking after every 2 minutes.

Suggestion: If you wanna make your own pizza then choose pizza topping as per your taste and desire like corn, olives, paneer, tofu or onion. Any cooking oil can be used for mixing in dough. There ain't any hard and fast rule that you can only take this and that. So just use your grey cells and your taste buds. And by the way if you are using dry yeast instead of instant yeast, then mix it in sugar and lukewarm milk so that it becomes active.
