The Nokia 701 taking the Symbian software experience to the whole new level
modern smartphone though left Symbian devices far beyond for a while, but with the inauguration of Symbian^3, Anna & Belle versions this year alone, Nokia is coming on the track of the smartphone market.
So now Nokia introduced its own Nokia 701, the New Symbian-Belle.
Quite a handsome looking phone with its metal and premium plastics which gives a feeling of worth spending the money. It may be debatable but Nokia claims that the Nokia 701's 3.5-in screen is the brightest in the world, it can surely race with the SuperAMOLED PLUS. But its certainly not very sharp in terms of pixel count of the display.
The Belle software OS, which is powering this phone is very much inspired by Android. Designs from Android like its pull down notifications menu, multiple customisable homescreens, app folders. The device is powdered by a 1GHz processor and 512 of system memory. Using the phone is quite refreshing though unlike all the smartphones its battery life only lasts between 1.5 to 2days on a single charge.
With 701 and other Belle devices some of the NFC by way of tap-to-share media between devices or pairing with special NFC enabled accessories like hands free headsets and speakers just placing the phone on the device.
So in short, Nokia 701 is quite a good phone a worthy competitor of the Android phones.
